Winter Coffee

I used remote triggering to capture this photo. I set up the table and lighting from above the frame. The large softbox imitating a window, placed about 0.5 meters away, created the effect of light hitting at a low angle, producing long, cold shadows.
The selected color palette of grays, browns, and whites conveys the quiet, morning atmosphere. The contrasting colors of the dishes and accents enhance this effect.
In post-processing, I adjusted the temperature, shadows, and haze to further emphasize the cold, morning character.
Positioning the softbox at a shallow angle to the table surface allowed me to achieve the long shadows characteristic of a chilly January morning. This lighting setup was crucial for creating the desired mood.
The photo has a documentary feel – I aimed to capture intimate, everyday moments. I purposefully took on the role of the model to conveniently control the composition and camera settings from my laptop.
