Embracing Spring:
A Breakfast In Bloom
The first things that come to my mind when I hear the word spring are lemons, flowers, more light, a warmer sun, and nature awakening. To visually translate this seasonal shift, I focused on two colors closely linked to spring – yellow and green, complemented by the purity of white.
In this photographs, each color plays a deliberate role in enhancing the spring mood. White symbolizes freshness and new beginnings, while yellow, the color of the sun and blooming flowers, radiates energy, joy, and warmth. To reflect nature’s awakening, green was intentionally used as a grounding element. To balance the vibrancy of yellow, I incorporated soft beige tones with muted green accessories, evoking simplicity and warmth.
Flowers further emphasize the theme of renewal, joy, and transformation – symbolizing rebirth as the world emerges from winter’s quiet stillness. The setup remains intentionally simple, with natural side light from the balcony window. Capturing the shift from cold morning light to a warmer glow reinforces the transition from winter into spring.
To add a personal touch, I used remote triggering via mobile phone, connected to the camera via Wi-Fi. This allowed me to include myself in the frame, bringing a sense of intimacy and human presence to the scene.
My intention was to capture the essence of spring’s slow awakening through a lazy breakfast in bed, mirroring the gentle pace at which nature stirs back to life. A simple setup, vivid yet balanced colors, and natural light come together to tell a quiet, seasonal story – one of warmth, renewal, and softness
