We have reached the ideal time of year for both outdoor and indoor still life and food photography, distinguished by the vibrant warm colors of nature in full bloom.
To produce exceptional fall still life photos, photographers can gather a selection of autumnal objects such as gourds, pumpkins, and fall leaves and home bake some breads or cakes and arrange them in a composition that is visually appealing. There should be a good consideration for lighting to get perfect depth of fall colours.
We can experiment with various framings and angles to create captivating compositions. The use of fairy lights, candles and hot beverages can make the set up even more appealing.
To create visually pleasing autumn still life photographs, the light should be warm, soft golden hour light for vibrant colors. Even in the post process ,be very careful about the warm tone to be properly retained.

Time is crucial for outdoors, try to shoot during sunrise and sunset.This Golden hour light is perfect to capture the warm yellows, oranges, and reds of autumn.
Focus on Warm Colors
Select objects with the shades of autumn colors, such as pumpkins, gourds, autumn leaves, and other seasonal fruits and vegetables. Choose your won colour palette for the set up. Avoid using other opposite colours like pink or blues.
Avoid harsh Sunlight
For ideal color saturation, overcast days can provide soft and even light that perfectly brings the depth of colours and textures.
Create a Themed Scene
Arrange these elements to create a story to evoke a specific mood, incorporating elements like books, candles, or other rustic items to tell a cohesive story.

Employ guidelines from various composition rules to create balance and harmony between the subject and the other elements. Look for beautiful rustic yet suitable outdoor props for a proper fall scenario.
