Spring Awakening

Coming out of winter colors, coziness and enveloping dishes with the first warm rays of the sun we breathe deeply and the colors return to the food photos.
In the photo I wanted to show just this awakening from the lethargy of winter and a strong refreshment of colors. The salad with juicy red oranges, sweet nectarine, salty feta and topped with a velvety vinaigrette dressing awakens spring memories in me and encourages me to take the plate with me and go out on the terrace to enjoy the first warm days there.
The photo has a slightly central layout – the plate with the salad is the epicenter of the photo and the gaze is directed down and around – at the delicately shaded side dishes..

light background with a delicate texture and subtle dishes do not draw the eye away from the, already heavily displayed, dish. The light is strong on one side, but to give the photo the effect of an early spring aura, the styling was moved away from the window. As a result, the shadows that form are reminiscent of a still-cool spring morning, when the sun slightly peeks out from behind the clouds to break through around noon and cause you to finally pull on all your winter-worn jackets.
