For both photo shoots, I used artificial light with a softbox positioned on the left side. I also used two large cardboard panels to create a smaller light source and add a moodyatmosphere. To reflect the warmth and coziness of autumn, I love working with wooden props and backgrounds. Fresh foods symbolize the harvest, while fabrics in natural colors, earthy ones, and wool evoke a sense of warmth and comfort. For both images, I had to take a large number of individual shots to create the final photo. It required a lot of patience, which can actually be very calming.

Short Story or Inspiratio

Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. I love the glow and the special golden feeling that comes with it. During this time of year, I feel very grounded and relaxed. Everything seems colorful and cozy. Summer is usually a creative break for me, but in autumn, my deas feel endless. I see inspiration everywhere — in nature, seasonal ingredients, and personal stories. Fall has always been the season of me, my mother, and my
grandmother, as all of our birthdays are in October. My grandmother passed away a few years ago, but every time autumn returns, it feels like I would meet her again. I always try to tell stories through my pictures, and especially with these two shots, I wanted to create a warm, familiar, and welcoming — yet moody atmosphere. Experimenting with candles, movement, and light is one of my favorite ways to create new images.

Photographer Bio & Portrait

My name is Celina Hruschka, and I live in Austria with my husband and our two lovely cats. My grandfather was a very talented photographer, working in a completely diUerent technical era. Sadly, I discovered my love for photography only after his passing. n 2019, I began sharing my recipes online through my food blog Genusskind, and since then, I’ve been deeply passionate about food photography — constantly learning and
improving every day. This September, my first cookbook Backen. Feiern. Genießen. was published, and with
it, one of my biggest dreams came true.
